My Widows directory has a lot of files named <name>.log, several of which
are large. Some have names like Q328310.log whereas others seem to be
installation log files from various applications.

Can I safely delete these files?

Hi,

They are exactly what their name and extension implies, logs of the
installation of the program or hotfix. In general, you should retain an
uninstall.log file to ease an uninstall routine. Otherwise, yes, they can be
deleted.
