Can I delete all those files in C/Windows/Software

Can I delete all those files in
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download? They are
duplicates of what I have in other folders like /system
and /system32?

Yes, they can be deleted.

No one has yet come up with a reason to keep them. What I would do is
to move them to a folder outside windows for a couple of weeks, just in
*case* something complains
