If by "there is a file about him" you mean someone has made a webpage
about your friend, then you will need to find out who made the webpage
and deal with that person. Unless your friend is a famous person, it
seems very likely that the website was made by someone who knows your
friend.

There is nothing you can do immediately from your end to remove the
webpage. If the webpage is slanderous or libelous, consult an attorney
(or the legal equivalent in your country) about your next action such
as contacting the website's hosting company. If you and your friend are
school-age and this is one of those repellant sites where kids post
trash about each other (Xanga, etc.) then your friend needs to tell his
parents and they need to contact the school.

If this is not what you meant, then please post back with more details
because you haven't explained the issue very well.

Dear johnny

I sympathise. I had the exact same thing happen to me. And for the
record, I am not married to my sister.

To clarify, the entry does not exist per se on Google. It is more
likely on a different site. Google actually sends out a little web
spider which retrieves pages and catalogues them for searching.

You have a number of options.

1. Ignore the entry. In fact, by posting here, you have highlighted
the problem. Remember, Google indexes billions of pages. No one
cares.

2. Fall out with your friend. This way you won't get upset.

3. Produce a website that counters the information.

4. Hack into the website and remove the information. Not recommended
because this is illegal. And you'll need lots of 133t 5k1llz.

5. Turn your computer off, and go outside for a game of footy.

I recommend option 5.
