Can I combine a Macrobutton and Fill-in field?

Hi,

I am trying to create a document with fields that must be updated by the
user e.g. Enter Author's name.

I have created a fill in statement as follows:

{FILLIN "Enter Author's Name" \*MERGEFORMAT}

I want the user to click on the field and the box appear (saying Enter
Author's name), instead of having to right-click and update links.

I have investigated using a macrobutton as follows:

{Macrobutton Nomacro [Enter Author's Name]}

However when the user enters this info it will overwrite the original
macrobutton statement.

Any suggestions?

The secret is to use a template rather than a document. This way, a new
document (with the MacroButton fields and prompts still in place) will be
created each time the template is used. See
