Can I change the email address in outgoing mail identification?

Outlook puts my name and an email address in the identification line of all
outgoing mail. I want to stop that address from appearing. Is that possible?

To what purpose?
You can modify your display name and email address in your Account Settings.

CAN-SPAM law (in USA) requires that the sender identify themself.

I have to use the address of my current ISP for the Outlook account. But for my mail I use a NetIdentity address as a sort of 'shell account.' That address will remain constant even when I change ISPs, as I recently did. My incoming mail goes to NetIdentity and is immediately forwarded to my current ISP and channeled into Outlook. I want the NetIdentity address in the information line since that's the address I want people to use to avoid confusion when I switch.

Have I made this more clear? or more confusing?

Thanks for that! I'll change my wording just to say I want to change the
address, not delete it. You help me see that the difference there matters.

Yup, much more clear :-)
As I said, you can change it in your Account Settings. When you use a IMAP
or POP3 account, you can freely type the display name and address.

Of course that worked. And it was easy enough that I'm embarrassed not to
have tried it. You can see what I did--confused the 'Logon Information' with
the 'User Information.' Sigh.

Thanks for the good help! (My TRS-80 was much easier to.... never mind.)
