Can FrontPage design interactive calendars?

We'd like to add a calendar to our website that would show open appointment
slots and allow customers to click on an open slot an schedule their
appointment from our website. Is this something FrontPage can do?

TIA!

Yes
But your would need to use server side scripting and a database

Can you describe that briefly for me? I hate to admit that this is the most
complicated web site I've been asked to do.

It's not something FP can do easily - but you can use FP to write the code
to make the calendar; you will need a knowledge of programming in server
side language such as php, perl or asp and probably a knowledge of databases
such as MS Access, or more commonly now, MSSQL (windows servers) or MYSql
(linux/unix servers).

From that perspective, it is complicated - so you'd be far better off
searching the web for a ready-made solution, or engaging an experienced
developer to assist/do this bit for you.

I had to search for a pre-made application that I could customize for a
customer some years back.
I was looking for asp/access and found a huge collection here:
www.hotscripts.com
find out what kind of server side languages you can use and search for one.
If you find one you like post back, probably someone will have tried it or
know something about it.
at the very least I can tell you how to use it fairly easily from within
FrontPage.

Thanks for all the responses...I've checked out everything suggested and am
still considering which way to go, but I have a ton more info now than I did.
Thanks so much!

You're welcome!
when you narrow it down, come back and ask for opinions.
you'll find no shortage of them here. :)
