can anyone help

can anyone help with my problem ? im tryn to uninstall xp sp3 and reinstall
but it wont let me i goto add or remove programs start to uninstall n that
takes forever and it just keeps shutting the uninstall off without any error
code or anykind of info its like i never tried to uninstall it ,it goes right
back to add or remove...PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP?
