can an address be transfered to autoroute

I am currently writting a support engineer database and would like to be able
to transfere an address to autoroute 2005 from the program. can it be done
and if so how?
 
Hi Shaun,

I did some work with autoroute years ago (8-9 years ago), at that time I had
to purchase a developer edition of autoroute to allow for customisation,
don't know if that is still the case.
 
AFAIK - autoroute now is european version on MapPoint, then you can access
it via automation, beleive you can find samples for MapPoint in MSDN
