Callout and Anchor Points

I am using PowerPoint XP (2002)...

On the drawing toolbar, I click AutoShapes > Callouts, and select the
callout in the 2nd column, 4th row (callout with arrow and no border).

I would like the anchor point (i.e. - where the arrow starts) to begin from
the sizing handle at the top and center of the callout. Each time I try to
reposition the anchor, the entire text box moves. Is it possible to do this?

Thanks in Advance.

I dont think you can but you could "make your own" by using a no line
rectangle and adding a straight arrow connector to the top centre.

Thanks John.

Am I going crazy or were you able to do this in previous versions of
PowerPoint? Seems like I remember lots more flexibility before we "upgraded".

I just tried it in both PPT 2000 and 2003, and it works the same way in
those versions as it does in 2002.
