Calling a DOS program

I need to call a DOS program from my Access 2000
database. When I do, using the Shell method, I see the
DOS app open and immediately close. Obviously I need it
to stay open. Any suggestions? Thanks.

From VBA run (using Shell function) this file

I hope, it will be helpfull. I'm not testing this.
