Caller Id usage

I have a voice mail service that answers after 5 rings.
I also have a Caller ID capable modem.

I would like to use the same phone line to enable RAS only on certain Calls
and pass all other calls to the voice main service. Does any one know how to
set this up.
 
You need a distinctive ring capable modem, then the data calls can be passed
to RAS, voice calls - to voice mail system, and fax calls - to fax software
indeed. OTOH, if you would know for sure a particular Caller is a RAS client
you can configure RAS to accept this call. Certainly when the line is busy
no other call can be accepted.
