does FP 2003 Come with a pop up calendar that will populate a field in a dbase or form? I have seen a few people say use an Add-in but how does that work?

No.
An add-in works by installing it and then selecting it from the Menu.
For specifics, see the help that comes with the add-in.

Regards Jens Peter Karlsen. Microsoft MVP - Frontpage.

Hi Jens,

I'm interested in doing the same thing. Can you be more specific. Many
thanks.

You download the Add-In.

Generally the Add-In will self-install itself into FP and appear under FP's Tools.

The you use the Add-In..welll to Add-In whatever feature the Add In is for :-)

You can use outlook and select "Save as Web Page"! Select the time frame
(number of months to export). This will give you a folder and an htm file
that displays the folder content (calendar). Move all files to your
FrontPage and put a link to the new htm file. You will be able to scroll
from month to month also.

Disadvantage:
In outlook, you need to create a separate calendar for your web project.
Otherwise, you will get all your personal stuff too. I use outlook for all
of my reminders and weekly, monthly, yearly events. If you do the same, you
need to recreate a separate calendar for your web stuff.

OT...but you know what else is very cool about Outlook calendar?...you can synch it up with other people via email. I used it for several years to run my installers out in the field..never had to talk to them, all I did was schedule their appointments for them and when they got home they checked their email/outlook and all their service calls where there waiting for them to do.

Can these be added in an existing website and if so how can it be
done?

you should write a tutorial on how you did this. (if you ever get time). It
would most likely be greatly appreciated.

I think it you google for "date picker" you'll find exactly what you need.
I think the "calendar" is throwing off your answers a little.

I tripped over a similar thing in outlook. I did save as "web page", and
just out of curiosity I told it to save in one of "my network places" and
was blown away that it saved it straight to the server without a trip
through FrontPage or an ftp program. coool. ;-) but haven't used it since!

I have that one too.

They all look the same to me!

NONE of them satisfactorily explain the process...installing is not the issue, but how does it send/store the info into <textarea> - I haven't gotten any of them to work, even though the 'test' file they include does work on the web im trying it one...sheesh.

Anyway,,, reality is sidetracking me today ;-)

Search IE (or Google) for FrontPage AddIns. You will find a lot.
I use many of the JimCo AddIns. Many are free, some you have to pay for.
