Calendar View in Outlook 2007 missing checkboxes

Everyone who does support has those "special" individuals who can have the
weirdest problems.
Here is my latest: She has full rights to the calendar of an Administrator
and even Reviewer rights at the mailbox level of his mailbox. Multiple
times, she has clicked on the Calendar icon at the bottom of the navigation
pane and when the view changes, there are *no* checkboxes in front any of
the calendars in the navigation pane and furthermore, when she tries to
access the Administrator's calendar by double-clicking on his name, Outlook
says it can't display the calendar. Exit Outlook and go back to the Calendar
view and they magically reappear and her access to his calendar is back! I
have already deleted and let Outlook re-create EXTEND.DAT, but that didn't
help.

I am thinking of deleting her Outlook profile and re-creating it, but has
anyone seen this before and come up with a solution?

its not extend.dat, it's the navigation pane's xml file. Try starting
outlook with the /resetnavpane switch - it will wipe out all customizations
on the nav pane.

if this fails, make a new profile.

Thanks Diane! Have tried it, will see if this solves it - it has been
intermittent where she goes several days between occurrances.

FYI: it did slow down, but didn't stop it to reset the nav pane, so I
deleted and rebuilt the profile. So far, so good.
