Outlook 2007 - Calendar View

Jordi

Hello there everyone,

I use Outlook 2007. I have problems when using the Calendar views.

So far everything was going great but now when I use the calendar with the
week option view (Ctrl+Alt+2) , Monday to Friday and close Outlook and open
it again I get the DAY view (Ctrl+Alt+1). I rebooted the computer a couple
of times, turn on the Outlook 2007, go to calendar and I always get the day
view ... and although I select the WEEK view, when I close the program it
gets back to a daily view, not sure what happened.

I looked at the program options but I don't see anywhere where I could make
the weekly view as a default in the calendar, buuut it did use to work okay
before but not now.
Thanks for the help provided,

Jordi

It should use the last used view but 2 things can affect it - a corrupt view
or its not really closing.

If a corrupt view is the cause you need to close outlook and restart it
using the /cleanviews switch. note that this will delete all custom views
you may have created. See http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/resetview.htm

The second issue could be that outlook is running in the background after
you close it. Go to Task Manager, Processes tab to look for outlook.exe. If
so, you need to figure out why its not closing - see
http://www.slipstick.com/problems/close.asp for ideas.

Hello Diane,

I believe the view is corrupted somehow. I tried the outlook.exe/cleanviews
but nothing appears and I get an error - Windows can't find the file:
outlook.exe/cleanviews .... maybe it is because I have just reformated the
computer and installed again Outlook 2007, I don't have any emails, no
information at all there stored, no contacts ... just nothing.

Checked and Outlook is not running in the background after it is closed it,
so I guess I would have to try the cleanviews once again.
Thanks for everything !!

Jordi

It worked Diane, thank you !!!!!

I used outlook.exe(SPACE)/cleanviews (outlook.exe /cleanviews) ... without
the space I had errors as Windows couldn't find the instructions, but now
the week view is working as before.
Thank you very much !!!!

Regards,
Jordi
