We just installed exchange server and upgraded to Outlook 2003.

I use the monthly calendar view. How can I get calendar to start on the
current date? It always starts on April 25 and goes back to April 25
whenever I switch out of calendar and then back in to it.

TIA

is your computer set for the correct date? it should show the current month
in the day/week/month view, with the week containing the 1st at the top
(which means it may display the last part of last month in the first row)

Diane,

How do you go about implementing this? I have the same problem with 2 of my
computers and I am unsuccessful in setting this up to display the current
date with I open the calendar.

Same problem. My outlook calendar started defaulting to April 25 yesterday
and I can't seem to get it back to opening on today's date. Could this be
from a virus or a bug in the program>

It's not a virus and it's not a bug - it's how Outlook is.

Are you using compressed weekends? Do you begin your week on a day other
than Sunday? if so, you'll see a slightly different view than i do - my
calendar begins Sunday May 1 at the top. Because it's a Sunday, using
compressed weekends will change the view because it groups Sat and Sunday at
the end of the week and the month will start on the first day of the week
which the Sat/sun block ends - April 25. (right click on the calendar and
choose other settings to disable compress weekends)

"is your computer set for the correct date?" Yes.

I searched this forum for "April 25" and found a number of other posts
describing the same problem.

"Are you using compressed weekends?" - Yes and always have done so.

"Do you begin your week on a day other
than Sunday?" - No.

Are there any other issues I can check on?

The problem is a combination of compressed weekends and a long month that
begins on a weekend and ends on a Monday or Tuesday - Outlook always
displays a full week and always displays the first full week in which the
month begins. Because compressed weekends puts Sunday at the end of the
week, Outlook will display the end of April at the top of the page. Disable
compressed weekends to start the month on Sunday May 1.
