Calendar shows date appointment made instead of scheduled. HELP!

When I schedule an appointment on outlook calendar, it shows up on the
calendar for the date and time i input the appointment. For example, on
Monday at 10am I scheduled an appointment on Friday at 1pm. It puts it on the
calendar as Monday at 10am--the date and time I input the data. Something is
really wrong here. Any ideas? A button to reset? A virus? Thanks.
