Calendar reminders in Outlook

Phrank

Hi,

I've created a second calendar at work. The main calendar is for my
routine daily/weekly/monthly appointments and meetings. The second
calendar is for the milestones of my projects. It works great with
the exception of reminders. The reminders don't seem to work with the
secondary calendar. Is there a way to turn on reminders for the
secondary calendar?

And a second question. I have an Excel worksheet that I also use that
holds all the dates of my projects (although it sounds like
duplication of effort, they both really serve separate purposes). Is
there a way to tie the dates in the Excel spreadsheet to the secondary
calendar in Outlook? VBA? Third party program?

Thanks for any help.

No, not natively (see www.slovaktech.com) . Why not use one calendar for
both, and use categories so you can set up filtered views?

No idea, sorry.

That's an interesting concept that I will look at tomorrow. However,
I use the colored labels for each calendar (separate tags though, of
course). If I used one calendar, I would only get one set of labels
still, correct?

Correct, at least until you upgrade to outlook 2007. It supports more color
options.

Yep.

Ok. I don't know when they will be upgrading to 2007 at work, though.
Thanks for all of the info, I appreciate the help.
