Calendar Hangs

I am using Outlook 2007 w/ BCM and have all of the latest updates installed.
Last week Friday, my calendar started to hand everytime I try to view it, and
now it will not open when I try to use. Outlook freezes, and I have to
forcefully end the task. Any ideas? My .pst file is 500MB, and my BCM
database is just under 5 MB.

I rebuilt the profile, and the primary calendar seems to be working okay now,
but I lost all my reminders. Also, on the secondary calendar that I have,
when I try to set reminders on appointments or events, they do not fire, and
when I re-open the appointment or event, the reminder is set to none.

I have this same problem with Outlook 2007 w/BCM. All latest updates are
installed. I'm running a brand new Dell Latitude D630 with Vista Business,
all software was pre-installed from Dell (I am running a business after all!)
My calendar hangs when I try to view it, or change views within it if it
happened to open. Outlook freezes (Not Responding) and I must open Task
Manager to force Outlook closed. When it reopens I may be able to use
Outlook Email, Task, Contacts, but not Calendar, especially if I just opened
or used Business Contact Manager because Outlook usually hangs after using
BCM.

I have been on the phone for hours with Microsoft tech that tried many
things (rebuilding profile, etc.) and ultimately told me it was my data
because with an empty or new BCM database it doesn't hang, so I retyped it
all just to have it hang again with the brand new BCM data! I don't think
it's my data.

This needs to work - it's my business. Sorry I don't have good news for
you, just more of the same. Hopefully Microsoft will solve it for all of us.

I used the run command outlook /CleanReminders, and that seemed to clear up
the issue with my secondary calendar with reminders firing properly, but I
still had to manually go through all my Contacts to re-setup the follow-up
flags & reminder triggers.

Please let me know if you encounter a 'hanging' Calendar using Business
Contact Manager again as I'm still troubleshooting this. Sometimes it works
for a day and then crashes again.

Update on my situation: A new user profile was made for me and I had retyped
all of my BCM data. But the calendar still froze. I have uninstalled BCM
and went back to using my original profile and so far all is well - no
calendar Not Responding and freezing. I have had to start using an online
project management/invoicing software in BCM's place.

Tina -
Try turning off the "Task List" in your To-Do pane - seemed to fix quite a
few other users' issues.

Tried this but my calendar still freezes then I have to open task manager to
shut it down. Also tried run command outlook /CleanReminders but that did
not help either. Any other hints would be greatly appreciated.
