BCM Hangs Outlook (not Calendar-specific)

We have an office of six people all running BCM on identical Dell OptiPlex
PCs. All the users are connected to their Exchange server with BCM running
in SQL on the same server. Every person in the office has reported that on a
daily basis, and often multiple times each day, Outlook will 'freeze' and
must be force-quit from the task manager.

There have been reports of this happening to individuals who use the Task
List in their To-Do pane in Calendar view and turning that off solves the
issue ... unfortunately, that's not the case here. Tried it, no effect.
Furthermore, this happens when users are in their inbox and contacts as well
as in their calendar.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dave,

My company had the same problem but this article
http://officepoint.blogspot.com/2008/09/improve-outlook-bcm-business-contact.html
solved it. Outlook no longer freezes daily. It was to the point we were
going to look at ACT! if this issue couldn't be resolved, luckily changes
those settings worked. I would suggest trying the settings in the article
and if it still freezes increase the polling interval even more and reduce
the local SQL memory even more.

Thanks Brad - we *are* using the email auto-linking feature so i can't shut
that off, but the SQL-related items look like a good place to trim. I'll
check this out and post back with the results.
