calendar events Outlook 2000

When deleting a calendar event it shows up in my deleted
items folder. Does anyone know why this happens?
 
Normal behavior. Let's you change your mind and move it back before you
permanently delete it. If you don't want it to go there and want to
permanently delete, do Shift>Delete
