Calendar Archiving does not work

F

flahmeshess

1. I select the Calendar folder.
2. then FILE->ARCHIVE.
3. Click on "Archive this folder and all subfolders:"
4. select my date
5. select archive file
6. OK.

The archive message (right bottom left) shows a while, and I can see
the archive file open in the folder list, then quickly close. WHen I
check, nothing is archived and all entries before the date is still in
my current Calendar.

I've tried both "Include items with "Do not AutoArchive" checked"...
checked as well as unchecked.

Still not archived. HELP. thanks.

Check the Modified date on the items that aren't being archived as you think
they should. That's the date Outlook uses to determine whether or not an
item is ready to be archived, and a simple action such as moving the item to
another folder can change the Modified date. More information and a list of
actions that change the Modified date can be found here:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;295657

The exception to this rule when it comes to calendar data is future
appointments -- in that case, the date of the appointment is used as the
criteria for archiving, since it will be later than the modified date.

I read the web link you supplied. But it's referring to emails rather
than Calendar entries. My problem is the Calendar entries.

It doesn't matter...the same rules still apply.
