Calendar (2) shows in Outlook 2003

P

Phil Rabichow

I have Outlook 2003 & have the Navigation Pane showing on the left side.
When I click on the Calendar, it gives me 2 choices:
Calendar (2)
Calendar in Archive Folder

The (2) is in blue. I'm not quite sure when this started (recently), but it
used to just say Calendar. All my appointments, etc. still seem to be
there. But what happened to just the "Calendar" & can I get it back? (I
never intentionally made a duplicate calendar &, if I did, where is the
original?).

The number indicates the number of unread items in the calendar, usually the
result of downloading a .ics file from the internet.

You can do one of 2 things; either mark all items as read if you know what
the items are, or conduct an advanced find on the calendar and specify
unread items as the search criterion.

Additional. OK, I discovered that the (2) refers to unread items. I don't
understand this & as I don't use Outlook for email & I don't know what an unread
Calendar item would be. How would I get rid of the (2) & what does an unread
Calendar item mean?

Thank you very much. My second post was sent before I got your response. The
problem is now solved.
