Click START|RUN and type "calc" (no quotes)

If it comes up, it's installed. CALC.EXE is the executable. Locate it
with XP's SEARCH tool, and create a shortcut, where you want it.
If the calculator does not appear...
Control Panel|ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS|WINDOWS COMPONENTS|ACCESSORIES
Click the DETAILS button, put a checkmark in the CALC box, and click on
CREATE|REMOVE.
