no notepad, no wordpad

When I login the administrator account and go to start/all
programs/accessories, all I see are accessibility, communications,
entertainment, and system tools. There is no notepad, no wordpad, no
calculator, no command prompt, etc.

However, when I login as a regular user, I could see notepad and command
prompt, although I still don't see calculator and wordpad.

I checked the the Control Panel and see that the accessories are indeed
installed.

How do I make them all appear? Thanks.

Just right click on your toolbar...

then

properties
advanced
add

or else just click and drag the shortcuts over to your start menu

Since the applications are installed, just add shortcuts to them to the
Admnistrator's Start Menu. Right-click on the Start button and choose
"Explore all users". You'll now see the familiar two-paned Explorer window
showing everybody's Start Menu. You can right-click/drag/copy whatever
shortcuts to whatever Start Menu you want.

Thanks for the reply.

I double checked it again. I opened Control Panel/Add remove
programs/add remove windows components/accessories & utilities and found
that there are no notepad, calculator, etc.

How do I install those components? I'm lost.

You'd simply put the checkmarks next to them and choose OK.

But first, go to start, run, and type 'calc.exe' and click OK. Does the
calculator appear? If so, it *is* installed. Do the same with
notepad.exe and wordpad.exe.

If they run, just create shortcuts. Or, do a search for those names, and
then create shortcuts from the results.
