The calcular function will not load - I have even tried
to specifically load the calculator from the CD, it says
it is complete and i reboot but isn't there. do a search
and still isn't there. any help?

Are you not seeing the calc.exe file because some folders are hidden?
Folder Options> View can be used to temporarily (or permanently) show
hidden items.

Since the CD is telling you that the file is already present, try making a
new shortcut and put this into the target box:
%SystemRoot%\System32\calc.exe

Copy the shortcut to whatever locations are handy for you: start menu,
desktop, Quick Launch toolbar, etc.
