The calculator pops up everytime I open a file or folder om desktop.
How do I stop it?
Basically the shortcut to Calculator has been corrupted.
This worked for me.
Have your XP disc ready
Add/Remove programs>Add Remove Windows Components.
Highlight Accessories and Utilities
Click details
Highlight Accessories
Click details
Uncheck "Calculator"
Click OK
This will remove the shortcut from XP totally.
Add/Remove programs>Add/Remove Windows Components
Highlight Accessories and Utilities
Click details
Highlight accessories
Click details
this time "Check" the Calculator box
Click OK
You will then be asked to load your XP disc as the re-installer can no
find the required files on your hard drive.Point it towards the driv
with the disc loaded,or even to the exact folder if you wish. And bob'
your uncle.

Go to your windows folder, then to the system32 folder and delete the
test.exe file. Then go to the prefetch folder and delete the TEST.EXE
file.Then try my method again.
