The following problem was encountered by one of my
students. She uses two formulas to calculate percentages
from a cost. But sometimes it's off by a few cents which
can throw grand totals way off in the end. What would be
a better way to calculate more accurate percentages?

Since you don't say whether the result is too high or too low, and you don't
give the formulas you are using, it's difficult to comment on what might be a
better way. Try this: Make a copy of the spreadsheet, open the copy, and
click on Tools | Options | Calculations | uncheck the "Precision as
displayed" box (or check the box if it's currently unchecked). Does this
yield results that are closer to the expected ones?
