calander only displays one year

Hi all,

We are currently trying to enter reoccuring appointments in our calander for
next year. The start and end dates being Feb - Dec 2004. However trying to
undertake this task now, the appointments up to August are fine, however
September on the appointment is made but not bolded.

I have read the knowledge base and it says the calendar is for a year (from
todays date). Will the date become bolded closer to the time - or is there
a way to increase the one year time span?

cheers

Goto Tools>Options>Calendar Options>Free/Busy Options and change the publish
range field to "36". Shutdown Outlook and restart. This should make 3
years of data available.

Kasey,

Thanks for the reply, however when attempting to do this I was given the
error message: "The free/busy period you want to make visible to others is
not valid. You can only publish a free/busy period from 0 to 12 months.
Enter any number from 0 to 12"

Do you have any other ideas?

You're using Outlook 2000, which only allows 12 months. Uprading to XP or
2003 is the only solution I know of.

Oh, I spoke to soon. If you manually edit the registry entry, you can force
any amount to be published.

Here's how to do this, I only recommend experienced users do this and you
must have "Administrator" permissions to machine you're doing this to:

1. Shutdown Outlook
2. Click the <Start> menu, and select <Run>
3. Type "Regedit" and hit "Enter"
4. Now navigate to the following node "HKEY_Current_User > Software>
Microsoft > Office > 9.0 > Outlook > Preferences "
5. On the right hand pane double click "FBPublishRange" and enter "24" (This
is hex, so 24 is actually 36 months)
6. Click <OK> and close the registery editor.
7. Launch Outlook

A couple notes, this is not a tested or supported scenario for Outlook 2000.
Also, if you were to open "Tools>Options>Calendar Options>FreeBusy Options>,
you will not be able to close the dialog without changing the publish range
back to 12. This will also increase the size of your free/busy message on
the server, which may cause you to exceed your store limit.

Don't hestitate to contact me directly if you have any issues with this,
