Cable Modem Router problem

People, I have a problem which is driving me nuts.
I'll be thorough to save reposting answers. Hopefully one of you geniuses
will have the answer :)
I purchased a Netgear Cable internet router. It allows five pcs on a LAN to
be connected. My network was working previously via Internet Sharing on my
PC (two network cards, one for the cable modem and one for my home LAN)
This worked through an old 10mb switch and all pc's could connect to the
internet as well as accessing the PC's on the LAN. After connecting the new
router, all pc's can access the internet but cannot see each other on the
network.
The router has a gateway 192.168.1.1 with SM 255.255.255.0
All pcs have DHCP IP addresses (from the router) All looks good. The IP's,
subnet masks and workgroup names are correct on each PC (192.168.1.2 -
192.168.1.50)
The config page on the router shows all the pc's and details as attached
devices.
All PC's can ping the router and TCP/IP is installed correctly on each PC
AS I said before, everything was working previously on the old 10MB switch.
At first I thought the router may be faulty but I also have a spare 100mb
Netcomm switch which brings up the same problem. The chances that both the
router and the fast Ethernet switch are both faulty is a bit hard to
swallow.
When you go into My Network Places, it takes ages to see the workgroup, but
it does eventually come up. But no PC's are visible and I get the message
like.
"Workgroup is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource.Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you
have access permissions. The network path was not found"
I think I need a fresh head
All NICS are 10/100 and are set to auto detect. I have also tried manually
setting them to 10MB, but to no avail

Help aaaarghhhh!!!

Thanks Kelly. Problem solved. It was the Netbios over TCP/IP not active on
all PC's.

See, theres nothing like a fresh head :)
Ive been too close to the problem and didnt see the bloody obvious.
