Roxio put a large CAB file on my computer. Is it usually safe to remove
these if they are generated by retail applications? Thanks

Where is the file located?

Hi Bill,

Ask Roxio. It may just be a setup file, or it may be a source file
(unlikely, but you never know). I would rename it or move it to the Recycle
bin to see if it is needed when running all the various functions of the
software. If there are no errors, then you *may* be safe to delete it, but
then again it might be used for certain repair functions. Again, your best
source of information here is going to be Roxio support.

Thank you. Good advice.

There is no general RULE that says if you can, or cant remove a .cab.
Some apps need them let be to access them again in the future if you
change a setting. Pretty much the same principle as windows asking for
your CD on occasion. ie it has to get a file out of a .cab
