c0000221 xp pro lz32.dll

I just installed Win XP Pro on my new pc and when i boot it up, I get
the xp boot screen and then:

STOP: c0000221 {Bad Checksum}
The image lz32.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not
match the computed checksum.

When that comes up, my hdd stops whirring and it just hangs at that
screen. I need help as soon as I can!

PC Stats:
80gb 7200rpm WD hdd
2.4ghz 533 bus Northwood P4
MSI 655 MAX-LS mobo
512mb ddr 2100

Take note that this was my first boot and i have yet to successfully
boot.

Sounds like Bad Memory or Bad Hard Drive or cabling.

Try known good memory if possible. Likely have to reinstall.
Trade out IDE cables if possible. Likely have to reinstall.
Etc.
