c:\windows\system32.config.nt problem

Hi i have tryied to replace this file like everyone keeps saying but i still
keep getting a 16 bit subsystem error window when i sign onto my comp. I am
not sure what else is wrong it started out saying the autoexec,nt file but
after i replaced them both now only the config.nt pops up. andbody have any
ideas whats wrong here? Im not to good with comps but can figure it out if i
get walked through it.

If you have fixed the problem by copying the config.nt file from
\Windows\Repair to \Windows\System32 and the error keeps recurring
then you most likely have a virus or spyware infestation in your
computer.

Make certain your antivirus software is completely up to date, with
the virus definitions not more than 7 days old and do a complete virus
scan of your computer. Then get a "second opinion" by doing a free
online virus scan at one of the following sites:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/

Also check your computer for Spyware by following the procedures on
MVP Jim Eshelman's Spyware Quick Fix page at
http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm
