C++ Runtime Error

I just switched to Explorer 6.0 and am having internet
problems with my windows 98. Everytime I go to a link I
get a Microsoft C++ runtime library error message. This
ends up shutting down explorer. The message states an
error in P:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\IEXPLORER.EXE.

Can anyone help me out? I can't believe I am the first to
see this problem.
