C name records and Dynamic DNS

What happens to the C name record in DNS if the record is for a client that
can dynamically update DNS. Does this do anything to the C name record. If
I am correct, since the FQDN is used to create the C name it should have no
affect on the C name record itself. Any KB on this would be helpful.

Thanks,

The cname record is associated with the FQDN. As long as the FQDN does not change, then
the cname should not be affected.
