c-media cm8338(wdm) window XP pro driver

Greeting,
I upgrade my windows 2000 to windows XP professional.
Now i'm facing problem with my sound card driver. I'm
using M748MR motherboard with c-media cm8338 sound card. I
download winxp 8338wdm836 driver file form c-media but
it's not working on my winodows xp pro.
Please advice. Thank you.

After you downloaded the driver, did you actually install it? What does
the Device Manager report about the onboard soundchip (you have a chip
onboard the motherboard, not a separate soundcard)? Did you try drivers
from the PC Chips website (the manufacturer's of your motherboard)?
