HI guysI know this question has been asked alot but I whant to go at it in a
differant way.
I have 3 servers (1X2000, 2X2003)on one 2003 box the c: drive is to small I
know I need a 3ed party software to just exstened the drive. I know that a
drive or two to extend the unalocated space.
(note) this box Has two drives a C:(4gig) and a D:(59gig) it is one(of 2) of
my Domain Controlers but it is my exchange and SQL BOX. both installed on D:
drive
What I am thinking of doing is a backup of both drives and restore.
Are there some articals for this if so can you point them to me.
Could it be as ez as backup C:, reinstall os and restore the registry.
I know that is to simple.

does the machine physically have both a 4gb C and a 59gb disks or is it one
drive partitioned into two partitions?

If it's a partition then acronis do some excellent repartitioning tools to
allow you to reduce the size of the D: partition and reallocate that
reduction to the C: partition.

I've used them on the fly to increase a servers C for 30GB to 50gb, as
simple as clicking a few options.

It is a raid 5 partitioned into two drives. acronis dosn't support dynamic
disk so I looked into paragon software. but that is a $1000 and I would like
to save that money in the budget.

I can imagine, I thought the server version did this

http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/products/diskdirector/

The older version (8 or 9 I think) just worked it was the later version
that became a server version.

Try and see if you can find an older version/
