c++ and telnet

P

Peted

Hello

i was wondering if anyone has any examples of access and sending info
to a telnet server (with and without login)

I was hoping to find some examples in unmanged code, but managed would
do. I want to write my own class to do this, but would like a step by
step guide showing how to start off and then add my own custom
functions

I wanted to use the free download of visual c++ express 2005

I def do NOT want to use c#

I know of a opensource activex control that would do this, but i found
it cludgy and also there is the problem of always having the end user
needing to install the activex control as i cant embed it into the
program

I would use the managed gui interface for the program.

Can anyone advise please

Search for 'telnet' on www.codeproject.com

http://www.codeproject.com/info/sea...=Search&author=&sd=15+Nov+1999&ed=19+Apr+2006

you will find a reasonable amount of articles with source code on telnet
server and clients. If you want to use VC2005 express you will also have to
install the latest platform SDK since it is not included by default.
