If I cut and paste information from an Outlook message into Word, my NEW,
REPLY, REPLY TO ALL, FORWARD buttons disappear. I have searched and searched
for a solution but have been unable to find anything. Would you please
assist me with this matter or let me know who I should contat to get to the
bottom of this.

Please help!

Everything is selected correctly. Standard is selected. The toolbar isn't
the problem. It's just those specific buttons that disappear.

Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 (SP2) & Windows XP
And, yes - I am aware that WORD does not have NEW, Reply, Reply to All and
Forward buttons. These buttons are the only buttons that disappear from my
tool bar AFTER I cut and past some of the email text to a word document.
When I go back to any email in OUTLOOK, those buttons do not appear and I
cannot create a new email message, nor can I forward or reply to a previous
email. I really don't think this is something that is quite so simple.
Believe me, I have been working with Word and Outlook for years and nothing
like this has ever occurred.

hmm. Interesting. WELL, you can always use ctrl+N to get a new mail
message... also, when you're in a message you want to reply to, hit ctrl+r,
and then if you're in a message you want to forward, ctrl+F.

You CAN do things without the buttons, you know. Keyboard shortcuts are fun
and fast.

I already tried that, too but unfortunately it doesn't work either. The only
thing that works is closing Outlook and reopening. But this happens every
time I highlight text in Outlook and paste to a Word document. When I get
back to Outlook and select an incoming message (or previously viewed message)
those specific buttons on the toolbar are "shaded out" and I cannot use them.
I guess, I shouldn't say they "disappear". They are there. I just cannot
access them. Thanks for continuing to brainstorm.
