button problems

Hello, I turned on my win 2k pro computer a few days ago
and noticed that the close, minimize, maximize, scroll bar
arrows, etc are now all numbers, letters, or other
sysmbols now. I also noticed that I now only had 6 fonts
so I copied fonts from my other windows 2000 pro computer
to this one and the sysmols changed to those in the
wingding.ttf font. These are not correct though either.
How would I fix this problem? any help is appreciated.

Thanks for that but it didnt find anything wrong. While looking through
fonts on my other computer using notepad to display ANSI characters 1-255 I
stumbled upon a font named marlett.ttf and it looked like that is where it
gets the button-graphs from. I copied the hidden font over to my other
computer and it fixed my problem. It looks as to if it doesn't find that
font it then uses wingding.ttf, if it can't find that it uses symbol.ttf and
keeps going till it actually finds a font to use to display on the GUI.
