Business upgrade to business full?

Hi,
I tried to install Windows Vista Business from a running Windows XP (SP2). I
bought the "upgrade" DVD Vista Business. After the copying of files, my PC
had a reboot and then I got an error LIRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL...
I searched everywhere and did not find a solution.

Then I put in my Upgrade DVD and booted up. Surprisingly, Windows Vista
starts installing without any problem. Exept: when I entered after the
installation the activation key, I got an error saying I needed not an
upgrade, but a full license key.

Now: can I upgrade from a Vista Business "upgrade DVD" to a Vista Business
"clean install" DVD?

Thanks!

No. "The clean install dvd" you are thinking of is the DVD of the Full
product.
You would need to purchase it.

Technically the discs are one and the same, but an Upgrade-Key does not
allow running setup from DVD while a full edition Key will get you to that
point of choice.

You need to run setup from within an activated genuine XP, for genuine-check
that you are legitimate using the Vista Upgrade.

That is no bug, it's a feature :-}

The old "pop your previous CD in" is no more.

You could workaround this by installing without entering any Keys at all,
this will give you a lot of options to choose from, but the chosen edition
will need a full products key.
