Business Intelligence

Has anybody use Microsoft Access as a Business Intelligence solution? We
have an ERP system that we use but there is no BI solution for it. I would
like access to be our database query, analyze and reporting tool.

I've never done this so I wanted to see anybody has any tips on starting a
project like this or any links to resources on the matter.

Thanks,
Jasper

Depends on what the magnitude of the project is and how detailed you
need the application to be.

Access is an excellent query tool, and Excel the best analysis tool. Very
often you can query and analyze data in Access, but if you need to test
scenarios, Excel is the tool for the job. Fortunately, they work together
and data gathered by an Access query can be exported to Excel, either
through the menus or ribbons, or using VBA code (the TransferSpreadsheet
Method).
