I currently do not have MyDVD and I am looking to purchase it so I can put
the movies I have created on to DVD. Do I need to purchase the more
expensive one or will the less expensive one do? Thank you for you help.

There is more than a single third party burning application. Also look at
Roxio, Nero, WinDVD Creator and PowerDirector.

From what I have read on forums and what I think I understand is that MyDVD
is the easiest to work with. Any other opinions would be great. I have just
began my journey, but love making video's with pictures. I just need to put
them on DVD so that I can people can watch on a tv.

THank you

All of these are good suggestions.
I have some of them as well as some others listed on my website. Some
include tutorials I have written and they all include links for downloading.
Most also include a free trial to use before purchasing.
See the [DVD Creation] section of my site.
