Burning problems

The device is integrated in an asus l5d laptop. I beg for help upgrading
driver/firmware and solving the burning/reading problems i encounter with
this drive and his generic microsoft drivers.

If the maker cannot write a compatible driver for the device, there is not really much chance someone else is going to find a
workaround. Computer devices in general are very 'binary'. They work, or they don't. You are stuck with trying every driver you can
find.

You might consider a USB burner with the WinXP Logo.
