Burning CD files

Cd files are burned from the main drive of my computer to a CD-R or CD-RW.
This is done by moving the files from the source folder, "XP' s temporary
CD-burning folder" to the CD-R or CD-RW. Question is: Where do I find this
temporary CD-burning folder so I can make the transfer?

That temporary area is located by default in the following hidden directory: C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD Burning. ("C" is the drive letter where XP is installed and "User" is the user name who has logged on.)

Actually I think shortcuts to the files get moved to the staging area.

Just put a blank disk into your CD-R drive, then drag-and-drop the
files to be burned onto that drive. (If your CD-R is drive E: then
drag your files to E:.) Once everything's in place, use File|Write
These Files to CD, or just right-click the drive in Windows Explorer
and select that command from the menu.
