Burner not working with XP

I recently upgraded to Windows XP Pro from Win 98. I
used to have no problems with my burner before the
upgrade. Since the upgrade I have accumulated a bunch of
files and I wanted to back up my harddrive. I tried to
use my burner but for some reason half way through the
burn process it crashed. I've tried several times with
different burning software and different media. I've got
a 1Gb AMD processor with 384 Mb of RAM. My burner is a
Cicero 52x24x52 CDRW.

Does anyone know if there is a specific driver for this
burner and XP or any other suggestions?

Is your burning s/w up to date? Nero's latest has a fix for SP2 problems:
