Bullets

When I am typing a sentence that wraps to the next line, the next line is not
tabbed over along with the first line of text. How can I prevent this from
happening?

My belief is that its a good idea to keep bullets short & one line however...

View > ruler if you cant see it.
Select the text box
There are 2 grey arrows, adjust the lower one to line up with first line text.
 
What John said. But also, you may need to press the Ctrl button while you
drag the indent markers on the ruler.
