Bullet list justification

When using bullet lists in PP2007 and you go to a second line, how do you get
this line to line up with the beginning of the line above? It always lines up
with the bullet and not the text above. It works as it should in Word but not
in Powerpoint.

Can you see the ruler when you select the bulleted text? If not view > ruler

Now you probably need to move the lower grey "pointer" (caret) to the right
so as to line up with the first text. Holding down ctrl while you do it will
make it easier.

You can of course do this on the master to set the default for the pres

Hope that makes sense.

What John said.

In addition, in PPT 2007, indents and tabs apply to each bullet point, not
to the entire textbox (as was the case in previous versions). So you need to
select the text you want these settings to apply to before applying them.
(In other words, don't just click inside the textbox and set the indent/tabs
as you may have done previously.)

There's also a Tabs dialog box now -- and it's the same as the one in Word.
Select the text you want to apply indents/tabs to, then click the Paragraph
dialog launcher (the little square on the lower right corner of the
Paragraph group), and you'll have access to the indentation settings. Click
the Tabs button to access tabs settings and specify their positions "by the
numbers."

Just wanted to add that information in case it was useful.

Thanks John, holding down the control key when moving the tab pointer was the
way to do it.

Thanks for the reply, but John's suggestion of holding down the control key
when moving the tab stop did the trick.

Appreciate the reply.
