I want to build a stand-alone CD duplicator capable of burning 4 or 5
copies from a master disk, like the units sold here:
http://store.yahoo.com/ioprod/cdrduplicator.html
http://www.blank-cd-cdr.com/hardware-cd-duplicator.html

It looks like they use a standard CD Drive as the master, CD-Rs, and a
controller inside a case with a power supply. What I have no clue about
is the controller - where to get one, what to look for, how to
configure, etc. Is building a unit like this as simple as buying a
controller and hooking it up in a case with the other components, or is
there more to it?

Thank you,

I've bought one of these cases for a company I used to work for. It's
then just a matter of buying regular drives and plugging them in. It's
all ready to go after that.

We built a 1-8 DVD duplicator, but CD-R duplication should be exactly the
same, just buy CD-R drives instead of DVD-R drives.
