no, it is not a time out session the error 8024400A is an error generated
with a comunication to the server, and it is because an update of Windows
Defender, I am still havig this error, I can´t find the solution, even
erasing the WindowsUpdate.log, and What it´s worst I can´t find the way to
uninstall Windows Defender and reinstalling
Even with RC2 you will have the same problem cause it is from Windows Defender
This issue is resolved in an XP machine by erasing the Windows Update.log, or
WindowsUpdate.log in C:/Windows/ by stoping Windows Update service in
Administrative Tools and Stoping Automatic Updates before you delete the log
file, and whoala!! just start services again and it is done, But in
Vista??????? how???
you need permissions , and if you succed erasing the WindowsUpdate.log, the
error 8024400A will still be prompting and your WindowsUpdate.log file will
be erase. so now that we know that is a problem with the comunication server
and windows update log, how in Vista could it be solved?
Do you have a copy of RC2, mine stopped in the middle of the download.
Thanks
Joe
