Build 5472, Matrox G400 only works in 16 colors mode

*** This problem never happened on Beta 2 and earlier builds.

Build 5472, Matrox G400

At first installation, Matrox G400 detected and installed as Standard VGA.
So this state, limited resoultion, limited acceleration. Of course, this is
normal.

To use properly, I updated G400 driver. (Use Windows update site / Matrox's
Original driver (using xp compatibility mode) )

But, after update, the problem occur.

G400 only works in 16 colors(4-bit) mode!! And resoultion is 640x480 and
800x600 only.

Display setting shows me many modes. But actually, changes are discarded
without any error message.

I installed PowerStrip and check, "Hardware Error" (Not exactly, but like
this message) displayed.

This problem never happened on Beta 2 and earlier builds.

I need help.

Anyone tried G400 graphics card on Build 5472? Is it ran normally?

I'm having the same issue with this build (5472) and Matrox G450 Dual head. I
can revert to using the generic VGA driver and get more colors etc but no
dual head options. -Ron
